South Hill Neighborhood

South Hill is one of the most sought after communities in Bellingham because of its unobstructed views of Bellingham Bay, The San Juan Island, Canadian Cascades as well as its close proximity to both downtown Bellingham and Historic Fairhaven. Larger, well maintained homes with tree lined lots occupy the top section of South Hill. The size and structure of homes found here varies greatly as most of them were built in the early 1900’s.

In general the homes of South Hill have well landscaped but smaller yards. The neighborhood utilizes their alley space for safe areas for children to play. State Street and Boulevard are lined with Condominiums that offer amazing views of Bellingham Bay. The Historic Fairhaven district is located just south of the hill and offers a grocery store, incredible restaurants and local specialized clothing and retail shops. Boulevard Park, a Bellingham favorite, is located right on Bellingham Bay with miles of trails for dog walking, jogging or bike riding. During the summer months many concerts are held here along with other community events and fundraisers.
