Whatcom Falls Neighborhood

This neighborhood gets its name from the popular Bellingham park, Whatcom Falls. Whatcom Falls park occupies the northeast section of this neighborhood. The park is known for it’s cascading waterfalls and forested walking trails. In the summer its pools are a welcomed retreat from the hot sun. Bellinghams only memorial park, Bayview cemetery is located to the west of Whatcom falls and is open to the public during daylight hours.

The south end of Lakeway drive consists of mostly large lots with newer single family homes. Most of this area is residential boasting the highest percentage of owner occupied homes and the lowest population density. Much of the southern part of the neighborhood is still undeveloped given the wooded area a more rural feel. Bloedel Donovan Park is a quick drive from the Whatcom Falls neighborhood as well as Galbraith Mountain.
